When you post a job listing or create an employer account, we may collect:

- Billing information (processed via Stripe — we do not store card details)
- Job listing content (role title, description, location, salary, apply link)
- Account login credentials (email and hashed password)
- IP address and browser/device information
- Usage data (pages visited, listings created, time on site)
2.2 From Job Seekers
When you browse the platform, create a profile, or upload a CV, we may collect:
- Name and email address
- CV and profile information (work history, skills, contact details)
- Job alert preferences (ERP platform, role type, location, contract type)
- Account login credentials (email and hashed password)
- IP address and browser/device information
- Usage data (searches performed, listings viewed, alerts set)

3. How We Use Your Data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:

4.1 Employers and Job Seekers
When a job seeker applies for a role, their application is directed to the employer's specified apply URL or email address. We are not responsible for how employers handle applications once received.
Job seeker CVs and profiles are made available to employers who have purchased Employer Bundle access to the candidate CV database.
4.2 Service Providers
We use the following third-party service providers who may process your data on our behalf:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe processes billing information in accordance with their own privacy policy and PCI DSS standards. We do not store card details.
- JBoard — the platform software provider. JBoard processes data necessary to operate the job board platform.
- Google — job listings are submitted to Google Jobs indexing. Google Analytics may be used to analyse site traffic.
- Email delivery provider — used to send transactional and alert emails.
All service providers are required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your data to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where we are legally required to do so, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of SouthwestCIO Ltd, our users, or others.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy:
- Employer accounts and listing data — retained for 3 years after account closure, to support dispute resolution and financial record-keeping
- Job seeker profiles and CVs — retained until you delete your profile, or for 2 years from your last login if the account is inactive
- Payment and VAT records — retained for 7 years in accordance with HMRC requirements
- Support communications — retained for 2 years from the date of the communication
- Usage and analytics data — retained in anonymised or aggregated form indefinitely
You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 6).
6. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
- Right of access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — you may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure — you may ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
