Oracle Fusion Finance - Functional Consultant
Newcastle
£75K - £90K + Bonus
I'm working with a large, global organisation looking to strengthen its internal Oracle capability with an experienced Finance Functional specialist.
Sitting between Finance, Technology and the wider business, you'll work closely with Finance users to understand requirements, improve processes and deliver effective solutions across the Oracle Fusion Financials estate.
There is plenty happening across the environment, including new implementations, onboarding additional business areas, functional enhancements and continued development of the Oracle roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Deliver functional improvements and enhancements across Oracle Fusion Financials
- Work with Finance stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective Oracle solutions
- Support the implementation and rollout of Fusion Finance across new business areas and entities
- Review existing Finance processes and identify opportunities for improvement, standardisation and automation
- Configure and support Oracle Finance functionality across the wider Fusion estate
- Support functional design, testing, UAT and deployment of new solutions
- Troubleshoot more complex functional issues and provide guidance to Finance users
- Work alongside external implementation and delivery partners on Oracle projects
- Support user adoption, training and knowledge transfer
- Contribute to the wider Oracle roadmap and emerging capabilities, including Oracle AI Agents
What we're looking for
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Financials
- Functional knowledge across core Oracle Finance modules such as GL, AP, AR, Cash Management and Fixed Assets
- A strong understanding of Finance and accounting processes
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into Oracle functional solutions
- Experience across both Oracle implementations/projects and BAU environments
- Understanding of the wider implementation lifecycle, including configuration, testing, UAT and go-live
- Confidence working directly with Finance users and senior stakeholders
- The ability to investigate problems, challenge existing processes and recommend practical solutions
- A proactive approach and willingness to remain hands-on
Why consider it?
This is a great opportunity for an Oracle Finance Functional Consultant who wants to move beyond delivering individual project work and gain broader ownership of an internal Oracle environment.
You'll work directly with the Finance teams using the platform, helping shape how processes and systems develop rather than simply implementing requirements handed down by a project team.
With new Fusion implementations, further business rollouts, ongoing optimisation and emerging Oracle technology on the roadmap, there is significant scope to deliver meaningful change while developing your knowledge of a large and complex Oracle estate.
