About the RoleWe are seeking a highly analytical Azure Data Analyst / Business Analyst (BA) to join a leading global organisation within the savings and investments sector. This organisation operates internationally and is known for delivering long-term financial solutions to millions of customers.
This role sits at the intersection of business and data, focusing on translating business and regulatory requirements into structured metadata and configuration within a modern Azure-based data platform—without the need for coding.
Key Responsibilities- Translate business and regulatory requirements into executable metadata and configuration
- Define and manage business rules, calculations, classifications, and validations using metadata-driven approaches
- Configure and maintain control tables, mappings, and rule parameters
- Ensure full traceability between business requirements and implemented rules
- Validate configured outputs to ensure alignment with business expectations
- Collaborate with Solution Designers, Data Engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate implementation
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and requirement alignment
Required Skills & Experience- Strong experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst within data-focused environments
- Hands-on experience with Azure data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, or similar)
- Experience working with metadata-driven or configuration-based systems
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into structured data logic
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and regulatory frameworks (preferably in financial services)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Desirable- Experience within financial services, asset management, or investment platforms
- Familiarity with business rules engines or data configuration tools
- Exposure to Agile delivery environments
