National Grid is hiring a SAP Lead Solution Architect on a permanent basis. This position is based in our Warwick office. This role is designated as hybrid, with an expectation of 3-4 days per month in the office. Requirements may vary based on business needs and company policy.

What you'll do

As SAP Lead Solution Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in driving large-scale business transformation projects, ensuring the alignment of IT strategy with business goals, and leading the design and implementation of innovative solutions. Key responsibilities include the following:

Lead the architecture and technical delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.
Develop and maintain architecture governance frameworks and processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Design and implement S4 HANA transformation projects, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
Oversee data modelling, application integration, security architecture, and network architecture.
Manage and mentor a team of architects and technical specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to execution and delivery.

About you

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Solution Architect, preferably in large-scale business transformation projects.
Strong knowledge of SAP Products and Roadmap.
Experience with data modelling, application integration, security architecture, or network architecture.
Knowledge of architecture governance and key option analysis with exposure to stakeholder management.
Experience with SAP cloud applications like SAP Datasphere, SAP BTP, ARIBA, SuccessFactors, etc.
Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
